Remember The Wombles?
It was my favourite tv show as a kid, so mum knitted us a womble each!
How cool is that! So that makes this Womble about 25 years old, so old that his stuffing is starting to come out of his pores (aka knitting stitches!).
Mum made us lots of toys, some are still around like Womble but many went to a second home when we out grew them.
Did you're mum make you toys..... or do you make your kids toys?
But more importantly, do you remember the tune???? "Underground, overground, we're wombling free..."

My Creative Space
I love how the stamps look when they are drying, they look like they are ready to dance.
It has been over a week now, I guess perhaps I should start decorating the table instead of looking at drying stamps! I was thinking a chaotic ramshackle style of placing them on the table - instead of a neat order but what I can't decide is should I perhaps give them a slight wash of paint to mute all the colours of them? What do you think? Hmm, or maybe I'm getting ahead of myself perhaps I should be patient and see what happens?

Unknown tool
I found this in my sewing box.
I know I bought it for a reason many years ago... but what the 'duck' is it??
I can't remember what it is or what it does... HELP!

On the hook....
So, today I felt like crocheting, but didn't want to pick up where I left off (of course!).
So I started something new, I decided I wanted to use green cotton and then decided to crochet a business card holder. But then why do I need another card holder. Hmm, what to do. Then inspiration hit.... I'll crochet a green square and submit it to the Envelope Project from Meet Me At Mikes blog.
So yep, I've submitted a green crochet square then cut out some adjoining paper dolls (recycled from an old envelope).
So, they'll be in the post tomorrow Pip!
Oh and by the way, for the first time in the history of Rie's crocheting.... I actually blocked the piece. - it had to happen eventually!

Nature's patterns
Ever stopped and admired Nature's patterns?
The rain drops on a window
a giraffe's skin
or even a zebra's skin.
What is your favourite Nature pattern?
