Taa daa: Crochet Embroidery Hygge shawl/wrap

It's a wrap!  Yep, corny pun but I've been waiting to use it ever since I started this wrap!  I finished it spot on time, within the last week of the CAL too, so I'm pretty impressed with myself as it's the first time that I've actually finised a CAL within the time frame!

So here it is.. my lovely, warm snuggly wrap.

So many photos of it as it's such a beauty AND it's really long which makes it really hard to photograph plus I wanted you see the super lovely lining fabric that I used.

So what to do think of it, are you going to make one yourself? You can still get the yarn kits from here (& pattern details too), the yarn is super soft and there are a few snazzy colour combos to choose from.

What's next? Hmm, so many things on my list. I'm thinking ahead and planning birthday and Christmas presents so that means that I'm finally opening this cute book and start crocheting caravan that is in it! ..yay!!  I'm also thinking of maybe putting my hook down for a week or two and am thinking of making this carpet style bag, it's so tempting and I could carry my wips in it!

Also, I popped up a quick video showing the wrap onto YouTube so you can see it a bit better. Link is here....

May-ness

Well hello May, didn't you just sneak up on me. Come to think of it, isn't it still March?
I've been trying to finish this blogpost for almost a week now but the weather has been so crappy - dully & grey that I haven't been able to get any photos. Well, stuff it. I've take a photo and edited it PicMonkey, so hopefully it looks ok.. does it?

Show us your block....

Um, hello... it's April. Hmm, so did we just blink or was it just the start of March? I also missed playing an April Fools Day prank but in saying that, who would have I pranked? Joe? Husband?  I guess that is one of the disadvantages of being a stay at home mum = no more pranks at work!
Anyway, being that it is the end of one month and the start of another, it's time to show us your progress & show us your block!

Stitchy stuff & a winner

I'm using the cutest box to store the supplies and (hopefully) inspire me on my Sampler Blanket journey throughout the year, the box is actually made from cardboard!

Show us your block

Gosh, 28 days didn't last long did they!  February was a big month in my household for my family. You see, February saw my lil boy starting his very first day of school, therefore starting our family on a new schedules, routines & of course school lunches. Also, not to be outdone by her big brother, baby Laney started walking that same week!  So you see, February 2015 was a big one for me and I may have not completed as much as my blanket as I had hoped!

The idea and the planning

I have so many ideas, most are well...crap and some are good & perhaps even workable.
My idea for the #2015SamplerBlanket is to make a type of quilt thingy, kind of. Well, you see I have a vision to make quilted blocks & embroider things onto them & then crochet them together.
Make sense? Nope.
