Giveaway (and some news too)

Happy Sunday to all!
Is it raining where you are or is the sun shining or is it doing both?

I have a stack of about 13 crafty magazines to giveaway.
They are in near new condition and some of them haven't even been read yet!
They are 1-2 years old and are general craft mags, patchwork quilting mags & even knitting mags.
The only catch is - you have to collect them yourself! Yep, it's too heavy to post!
So if you live in Melbourne & want a stack of mags to read then you'd best either leave a comment or drop me an email. First in first served, you just have to be able to collect them within the next 2 weeks.

Why the freebie & why no photo of it?

Well, we are packing up our family and moving back to Tassie!!!
So the freebie is due to space needed & not wanting to pack them.
And no photo is not due to taking a photo - cos I did - but due to the fact I think I have packed the cable that connects the camera to the computer (bugger!!).

What are you doing?

I'm not doing anything crafty.
I'm not doing the vacuuming or dusting.
I'm not doing pilates or exercising on the cross trainer.
I'm not sorting the washing.

I'm definitely not ironing.
I'm definitely not on a low calorie diet.
I'm definitely not wishing for a hot summer's day.

I am experimenting in the kitchen with lentils.
I am looking for my box of crochet hooks.
I am trying to sooth a 3mth old baby who is teething.
(and) I'm trying to not get stressed out with my 3mth old bubba.

I have got a band-aid on my finger.
I've just found a letter I forgot to post 6mths ago.
and I rang my mum yesterday (like a good girl).

I want to return my library books on time.
I want to find the best ever recipe for lentils (for a beginner lentil eater!).
I want to find my box of crochet hooks.
I want to .... hmm... I want to do lots of things but at the moment this will suffice!!

Scrap happy.

I went out on a limb & decided to buy some fabric scraps online - as a treat.  

And .... I'm happy with them, they are really pretty fabrics
but I just wish there was more scraps for the price! 

I tried to make the photo look as though there were heaps!!!

Have you ever bought scraps.... it kind of feels odd to do so!!

Snug

Miss me? Did you even notice that I've been gone?

Don't fret because I'm still around!

At the moment I'm in a town called Snug. Yep, Snug!
It's a small town about 20 minutes south of Hobart (in Tasmania).

Why are we here?  Hmm, I'll tell you later.

In the meantime, the crochet that I dragged along with us for the ride is still sitting in the bag and the crochet book I also dragged along is still unread.  But baby Joe has been fed, burped, changed, fed, burped and changed - why is it that he decided to have a growth spurt now?

And why is it that I always get a cold on holiday - it's not FAIR!!

What have you been up to lately?
Me? Well, all I've been this last couple of weeks is a Mamma. Joe this, Joe that, Joe wants to play at 4 o'clock in the morning etc etc. I'm tired. So very tired.

I've been trying to eat healthy, breastfeeding really sucks the energy out of my system but I am having a hard time finding the right snacks. I've been putting my thinking cap on for snacks and have come up with:::::
cold toasties
boiled eggs
bananas
grapes

Yep, I've been online shopping again!

 

This time it was a 'Mumsy' purchase - I needed a smaller baby stuff bag, you know to carry a couple of nappies, change mat & chuck in my own handbag rather than lug around a huge nappy bag.

I bought it here and it is brilliant!
