I found an extra special use for our Galaxy tab (it's kinda like the ipad). I took a photo of the intended layout of the crochet hexys so I could then shove all the hexys back into the bag. That means that when I want to sew/stitch them together, all I have to do is refer to the photo on the Glaxay tab for the layout!
Brilliant! Now all I have to do is figure out a joining method for the hexys!
And yes, it made my hubby laugh - stating 'that's a new use for the tab!'

I have a row counter on my tablet. It has been really useful to me!
Great idea Rie! You could use that idea for patchwork sewing as well.
I use that technique for layouts too, it's invaluable. I also find it useful because I can take shots of several different layouts and look at them again later while I decide which I prefer. It means I don't have to make a final decision "in the moment" but can spend time with each layout.
