Some things

I'm the type of person that cannot do just one thing at a time, I have to have multiple things on the go such as crochet, knitting, sewing, several books that I read at once, baking and of course toddler duties too.

This is a pic of my latest crochet project, the yarn is actually a hot pink but didn't photograph too well, I am teaching myself a new stitch and writing up a pattern for a cushion using it, I'll let you know how it goes.
I finally joined a KAL (a knit-a-long) via Instagram (& Ravelry too). I've never joined a KAL before but I'm glad I did, it's fun - it's a whole bunch of people knitting the same thing at different paces, at different skill levels with different yarns all around the world...and they are all very encouraging!
I received the most awesome parcel in the post via my lovely bloggy friend, Lisa of In The Boondocks. It was filled with so much goodness, an awesome crochet magazine, vintage craft booklets, lots of cars for bubba, crochet hooks, hand decorated teatowels and of course, yummy chocolate.
I love bloggy friends, they are the most awesome people in the world!

Check out these awesome patterns that were in the magazine, it is Interweave Crochet magazine and I just wish I could get it here in Australia.
I also pulled out my sewing machine - my Aunty Jan. Now my Aunty Jan & I have a love/hate relationship going on but since I was only making a soft toy for bubba, I let her gnarly stitches not bother me & I'll sort out the problem later (maybe with your help?!).

And... I've been checking out the online sales & purchased a couple of things... do you buy stuff online - please share you fav online stores - the more the merrier ... (probably not though if you asked my hubby!)

  1. You know you can buy the Interweave magazines online now. You can buy direct from their online store and you get a PDF so you can read it on your pc/laptop/tablet. It also means you can print out the pattern you are working on and scribble all over it. The digital magazines are saving me a fortune in posting from the US to the UK.

  2. I am pretty sure that my local newsagency sells Interweave Crochet. Maybe you could ask yours to see if they would get it in for you. Loving your new crochet too, and the zigzag yarn looks great for the KAL.

  3. If your looking for fabric ask Lucy at www.charmaboutyou.blogspot.com or Rita at www.redpepperquilts.com which ones don't have outrageous shipping charges. Rita lives in Australia and probably knows were to shop online.

  4. This is so great! I'm the same way; multiple projects, multiple craft, multiple books. I figure if I start a lot of stuff, I'll just see what sticks. ^_~
