Book-tacular!!

After a bought of moody blues bought on by the tiredness & the exhaustion of having a newborn baby and the hormonal fluctuations as you realise that you don't carry that baby safe & sound inside you anymore....  I went shopping online & bought myself some crafty books to cheer myself up!

Knit-And-Crochet Garden: Bring a Little Outside In: 36 Projects Inspired by Flowers, Butterflies, Birds and Bees
I chose this book, Knit-and-Crochet Garden: Bring a Little Outside Inbecause of the cover (yep, I buy books by their covers!), can't resist men knitting, crochet blankets & gardens!

The book has a great range of cute things to knit, crochet & also stitch & some great wind chimes too.
I totally LOVE this book & will be keeping an eye out for more of these by Arne & Carlos. So go on and buy the book for you, your mum, your daughter, your neighbour & the butcher(!).
You can purchase the book online here within Australia or online here

Mollie Makes Crochet
I chose this book, Mollie Makes Crochetfor a doily pattern that I had seen someone crocheting via Instagram.

It's a snazzy little book with some cute projects but I do think it needs a few more projects to make me want to purchase more of the same books by them in the future.
It does have a great 'how-to guide at the back but hey, I know most of that stuff so that is probably why I'm not 100% in love with the book.  I'd totally recommend if you're new to crochet or have only tried the one crochet stitch, a totally adorable gift book.
You can purchase the book online here within Australia or online here

Sock Yarn One-Skein Wonders
I also recently rediscovered this book, Sock Yarn One-Skein Wondersin my bookcase too, I was on the hunt for stuff to knit with my recent obsession of buying sock yarn but without the desire to knit socks!
I totally LOVE this little dress, I am desperate to knit it for Laney!
Also love this neck warmer but don't you also just adore that octopus tattoo as well!
You can purchase the book online here in Oz or online herefor the rest of the world!

So.... can you recommend any good crafty books to me? (or magazines!)

  1. Oooo... lovely dovely. Nothing like a bit of online shopping, dressed in PJs and not yet out of bed ... in my instance I splurged on a load of fabric which completely corrupted the de-stash mission that I am on. Not to worry. I was certainly cheered by shopping, the waiting for the packages and then their arrival. All good. And now there is some lovely fabric stuffed under my bed which I glimpse when I'm picking all my children's crap off the floor. Win win win.
