Experimenting

I undertook an experiment to make bread with leftover Minestrone Soup...
I made two loaves, one the standard white loaf (on the left) and the bread made with the leftover soup.
The wet mix before rising..
The mix after rising... (interesting to note that the different thicker liquid didn't affect the rise/yeast)
The result....

voila, Minestrone Bread!
...and it is yummo, tastes like tomato bread & it was super-duper for lunch with cream cheese on it!

I'm going to try this experiment again with leftover Potato & Leek Soup as well... mmm, can't wait for that bread!

OH.. and yes, in case you are wondering, I will post the recipe for the normal everyday bread - I make it everyday and guess what... it's a NO knead bread, you can make 1 roll or 3 huge loaves and tastes delicious!

Are you an experimenter in the kitchen?? What 'kooky' ideas have you come up with?
