Handmade Gifts: a cloth doll

I've been getting friendly with my sewing machine and whipped up this doll for my lil girl and of course, I didn't use a pattern!

Joe helped me make her, he picked out the yellow fabric for her hair and I have to admit, I think her hair looks pretty snazzy!  He also helped me do her eyes by pointing out that my sewing machine has a circle stitch on it.... it wasn't exactly what I was wanting but hey, Joe wanted it so then I did too!
We then stitched her up a dress from scraps leftover from Laney's shorts - it is her favourite movie after all!

Now what shall I make? I've been searching for some kits as this doll was kinda lopsided and I thought if I made a 'proper' one from a 'proper' sewer then she might turn out straight next time!

Oh & one last thing.........
